Class of 2020 senior Kaitlyn Ramsey was awarded this year’s Morrison Industries scholarship. The daughter of MI’s Paint Supervisor Nelson Ramsey, Kaitlyn is graduating from Warren County High School in McMinnville, TN.
After an unexpected senior year which ended in quarantine, distance learning, and big changes to typical senior celebrations such as Prom and Graduation, Kaitlyn explained that she is looking forward to a more typical college experience this fall.
Attending Tennessee State University, Ms. Nelson plans to pursue a career in dental hygiene as she furthers her education.
Despite the current economic difficulties across the country and the industry, Morrison Industries wanted to continue its scholarship program this year to show continued dedication to its employees and their families.
Blake Oakley, Manager of MI’s Tennessee Operations, explained, “This is not only a chance to do something positive for a student who has experienced so many disruptions in her senior year, but it also gives us a chance to remind our team members that they truly are a priority regardless of what may be going on around us.”
